That pretty much runs the gamut . . .

. . . although there's at least a few more we could plug in to make this vessel watertight.

Art Tatum . . .

. . . who was arguably the best ivory tickler of all time (and, interestingly enough, a relative of Jack Tatum, similarly one of the best linebackers of all time), and for sheer concentration of power players, the ARMS shows of '83 . . .

. . . with, amongst others, Beck, Page, and Clapton on the same stage.  And yes, I was there - at the Forum in Los Angeles, with a skeleton version of the crew that played on this video.

Andy Fairweather Low, Ray Cooper, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman, Joe Cocker, Ronnie Wood, the three aforementioned guitar gods . . . and all near their prime, too.

Now, for the story you don't want to hear.  In LA, the three axe-wielders didn't play together during the show at all, so near the end, I told my guest that we should leave early to beat the traffic.

Only later did I learn they played the encore . . .

. . . together.

:-(

And that, ol' chum, is one of the few regrets of my life.
