This week’s Wristscan is about “stealth”. Nilo tells me that in certain parts of the world, if you walk around with a Rolex on your wrist, you are inviting trouble. Similarly, I know of one guy who wears a Patek because in his workplace, a Patek just isn'...  

But Life has to go on.... So, here is my vision of Stealth.... Best, Nicolas ...  

. . . and still having a hard time understanding how it qualifies as stealthy. That's an especially handsome watch, Nicolas.

. . . and handsome black dial - these characteristics are so prominent. There has to be a stealthier watch in your collection. MUT, perhaps?

A Geophysic is more " stealth "... But it is much more famous than this MM Deep Sea... Which I feel a bit paradoxal.... Maybe my Girard Perregaux Gyromatic? But its inverse Arrow indexes could not be perceived as " Stealth ". Best, my friend. Nicolas

My final entry is actually not on-the-wrist. Does that make it an entry for WotW? Photo shows a watch crafted with meticulous detail by a gentleman and true PuristS. He even rejected the first set of dials and date discs because they were the "wrong" shad...  

. . . G O, as well as the Zenith - have drawn comment from people who aren't watch-conscious. (The GS hasn't yet, but I've only had it for a year.) On the other hand, none of my vintage pieces seem to elicit any interest at all - not even Black Connie. So...  

. . . by his eldest brother, who acquired this plus two more nearly identical Conquests (the others had yellow gold hands and markers) in July '56. The other two have both been lost, in separate burglaries.

She has a sort of " sinker"- appeal, something, which takes a bit, but then may foster some strong bonds?. Was attracted also by her calm presence, a sort of " think twice"- feature, nothing to immediately " jump" on; but something quite nice to experienc...
