There are two Omegas in my collection that would be appropriate, Captain: the Dennison cased bumper . . .

 






. . . would be the obvious choice, as it could possibly (although not likely) have been present at Queen Elizabeth's coronation in 1953. 

The Omega that I'd choose to wear, though, would be the oldest member of my collection.





This ref 2099, ca '39 - '40, has an inscription on the back that reads 

John S. Carman

June 7th 1940

At first I thought the inscription indicated a graduation present or some other personal memento.  Only after watching Dunkirk did I come to believe the watch was Carman's way of commemorating his return to Britain after evacuation.
