very late to the party as i've been absentia.
for several reasons, including forum rules, i cant say on open forum where i've been or why so if you recognise the location please dont make it public. sadly i had a superb time and cant tell everyone. all i can afford to say is dinner at the home of a highly respected independent watchmaker and his family. good wine, lots of it and good conversation. what more could you need.
i've had a great weekend so far, i'll spend the rest sleeping it off

BTW there's a better way of wearing it so the buckle is under the wrist
i dont like the buckle and extra strapping on the side so i've devised a way to wear it that cures the problem. hard to explain, but effectively you dont put the strap through the spare bit with the loop on, you turn that back on itself so it next to the ...

The Reverso wrist shot (very nice) jogged my memory
of a static shot I promised to send to Nicolas, from our time at SIHH. A not often seen Le Coultre with the Memovox alarm. This watch has been repaired several times, still running strong. I actually do not know the date of manufacture, a real work horse....

Perhaps not, but a VH Antiqua perched precariously across a mutton curry is rather frightening! Another superb watch. On my list since 2004, although I'm not sure I would actually wear it regularly and my taste has shifted away from exotica and 'statement...
I last dunked a VC into a hot cuppa, whilst attempting a shot.

On my wrist this week it is within 4 seconds of where I set it last Friday. That's a particularly good performance, although it's never out by more than 10-15 seconds in a week. Superb for a 44 year old mechanism. A
