Both are very nice and I also went through this process. I choose V8 for several reasons: Probably lower service efforts Seconds hand No frame around the date "old" movement has to come with an "old" watch (A, ... Series) ... Anyway, you cant´t go wrong. ... 

Had not noticed that about the date window. Not so interested in the central seconds hand and the additional thickness of the movement/watch. I did try on the 15300 this week, as I mentioned, and it was lovely with the blue dial. It just felt great on the...
