That’s the Line Islands in the Republic of Kiribati. I have never visited, but I used to collect stamps from Christmas Island when I was a kid. Just imagine living in a place called “Christmas Island” I thought. Presents all year round? Must be good!
Andrew … LOL
Ps. Pleased you are still enjoying the PPro ABR. Red strap only or are you going to try the more somber black?
The black is for more "formal" wear (to work) and the red is for play (weekends, etc.). I also have others including leather and stingray but I do like the silicone straps. Changing them was a pain initially but they seem to get easier with use.
Living on Christmas Island should bring lots of watches!

...but Christmas Island is NW of Australia - about half-way between Broome and Sri Lanka. Like its 'sister islands' some distance to the west - the Cocos Keeling Islands - it is an Australian protectorate. Its history is fairly interesting, but the history of the Cocos Islands is downright mesmerising: until twenty or thirty years ago they were privately owned and run on an almost feudal basis by the Clunies-Ross family, the remnants of which still live there. The islands were 'bought' by the Australian government and now serve as a static aircraft carrier and quarantine post in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Kiribati is a whole different vacation....

… Santa Claus doesn’t live on Christmas Island?
That’s it; I’m taking my toys and going home!

Still getting to know Lady Minerva ... so please excuse my perseveration.

The more I look at the watch , the more I like it
It grows on me
Thanks Geo,
I really like the Senator Sixties line and this version looks very nice. It doesn’t hurt that you captured it brilliantly in this image. Both the silver dial you link to and the black look good; personal choice.
My favourite round Sixties is this RG with black dial. Does the square case come in different metals and dial colours?
A ndrew
Ps. our wrist circumferences are identical, Geo, so you are now nominated as my roving wrist model in Europe! LOL

the square cushion design is now an unusual sight so its nice to see it faithfully bought back by GO. looks great on your not too slim wrist as 19cm is over 7.5 inches.

...from your usual stylish photo Geo. It may not be yours yet, but we suspect it may be soon!

This one is really sexy, and is even more beautiful in the flesh!

Raining cats and dogs here in Singapore. My mood remains cheery every time I look at this piece of pure beauty and simplicity.
Even a rainy day is a Sunny day!

...today's companion is an unacceptably dirty little piece. Wicked pplater! The VC Malte chrono deserves to be treated with a little more care:
