As for Longines, I agree on most of your points. Another Manufacture did some outstanding watches, from the innovation point of view... Jaeger Lecoultre.

In terms of finish, Longines is way ahead, with this kind of movement, if you don't take the Calibres developped by JLC for the observatory contests, such as the Cal 162 or 170 ( Pocket Watch movements, though... ).
