Favre Leuba Deep Raider Revival Vs. Aquastar Deepstar II

Favre Leuba Bathy 50 Blue Prototype.

Favre Leuba Bathy 50.

An old picture of a superb almost NOS specimen. Issued in 1966, two years after the Nivada Grenchen which was the first one to offer a mechanical depth gauge in a wrist watch. A very desirable watch, this Favre Leuba. Best, Nicolas

Favre Leuba was a superb brand, which made some legends, such as the Bathy 50 ( my favorite ) and the Bivouac, one which I still have to get. A bygone era, alas. Best, Nicolas

One of the very first mechanical depth gauge in the history ( the first being the Nivada Grenchen Depthomatic ). And a superb looking one. Here is a photo I could take some 12 years ago: Best, Nicolas

Finally . . . after all these years . . . I have a Watchdog!

Not sure how much protection I get from her though. By the way, she is the very first in the United States to sport the Favre Leuba Deep Sea Revival. My friend Patrik Hoffman, who is the new CEO of Favre Leuba, wanted to use me as a “test object” for thei
