Don't know about the 3600 but personally...
I never send my watches for service unless they start acting erratically or stop working. That said, the only EP I have stopped winding itself on my wrist after about 3.5 years from purchasing and I sent it in for service. It has worked fine since. For you, I suggest you consult with Zenith or one of their AD's to see if they have specific service requirements on the 3600.
