Hi all,
Just a quick funny shot I had the pleasure to make a couple of days ago, gathering the original '69 and the latest 2014 version of the Striking 10th. Precisely 45 years between them.
No big news ? No, not at all - just for the pleasure of the eyes !
Cheers and have a wonderful week-end,
Olivier

Hard to believe this movement was developed 45 years ago, and the movement in the Striking 10th is pretty much the same movement + just 11 components. The El Primero was legendary for being the first, but is also becoming legendary for its longevity. Not ...
A good thing !

I think it's a good thing for Zenith to have kept this movement alive so long, IMHO. See : what would have become the brand without it today ? Ask non-connoisseurs : could they name one, just one model of Zenith, excluding the Primero ? Not sure about tha...

I think you put it very well Olivier, Zenith needs to innovate. I am not sure 1/1000 is the answer since there may durability issues with a movement subjected to such a high frequency. We shall see how the Tag's fare in the decades to come. And to be hone...
Pleasure is mine !

Thanks for your comment my good lord ! Actually the '69 is mine. The 2014 is not.....yet. But I'm seriously considering it. I mean....VERY seriously. Actually I wore it in quite extreme conditions (see here ) in the arctic circle and this Stratos & I ...
Wow!

You wore the '69 under such conditions. The watch definitely has gone thru thick and thin with you! I'm sure it's very special to you. Now... getting the 2014 version is obviously a good choice! A zenith icon, plus you will have a pair of the dad and son ...
