Hah, I saw a Vingt-8 in Niobium years ago. I don't remember exactly what Kari said but I got the sense Niobium was chosen as a -very- subtly unique color experiment somewhere between titanium and tantalum and he didn't really want to make more of them.
I asked again about the Niobium case earlier this year and he said titanium would be great :P

...a subtle way of saying, Hell no i aint trying working with that stuff again. Agreed, titanium is just fine. šš
They need to roll out the Cal 135 collection
An over reliance on the El Primero will cause Speedster type fatigue, and the previous time only Elite watches weren't particularly special mechanically, the Cal. 135 represents a huge opportunity
I love the history behindā¦
And the finishing is impeccable but I find Zenith really missed a trick by pricing it as they did and limiting it to the minuscule numbers.
