First off I am a fan of Hida’s watches, the overall design aesthetic. I’m a little regretful that I didn’t follow through on my initial interest when they first launched as pricing has escalated since.
For Hida more generally and for this collaboration specifically I think Mr Wang writing on Hodinkee sums my initial feeling well :

most frustrating when that happens but I understand that this will be the first of many collaborations by Zenith.
Hida dials are very special in person. Because of the material and the hand engraving.
I personally think the opposite, the dial is way more impressive than that version of 135 😀 Certainly not convinced by the price!
You could buy more than 10 original Zenith Chronometers 135 for the same price

Those are not nos movements, it is a modern reincarnation which started the G.F.J. series.
So sky is the limit on how many they can make ... Especially with that finishing.
Looks absolutely fantastic to me.
Regardless of the cost, I'm sure the 10 owners are going to over the moon with this one. It is fantastic.
