I was super excited about those!
Not able to get the early allocation and was hoping to bag one later on. Then I heard from an industry insider that they were dropping the whole approach, which I find very sad - the idea would have been one of the rare innovations in the industry.
Do I understand you correctly that almost all were recalled and refunded? Or was it just of you experienced issues?

Anyway, at that time, Biver was in command, so service was certainly not an issue! 👍🏻☺️ I was somewhat shocked to see that Zenith did not continue the development! ANY watch company has apparently no more volume alternative anymore to the traditional mech...

They called the bezel material "Aeronith", which was "an innovative aluminum composite made of open-pore aluminium foam and stiffened with a polymer". Pretty sweet watch...it's a shame it didn't work out!
I was wondering what happened to these. At the time of their release, I campaigned to get an allocation and join the party but didn't. After the release, I thought about getting the production
version but didn't when I was told by someone in the know that even the production version did not work properly. Soon thereafter the model disappeared from the Zenith lineup and hasn't reappeared. For fun, I wound up getting a Frederique Constant Slimlin...

I was looking at that one as well but somehow found it difficult to reconcile the design with the innovation and was hoping that they would release the movement in a different model. So also not fully working?

This was what my AD mentioned but I dont know for sure. Another member here (Horology75) had one and he too had issues...

I found, for me, if I could not make sense of what piece did what, then the movement lacked connection and "soul" to me.
Just a personal response, it really seemed to lack a human connection. But, it's certainly a big leap forward. FC's version seems to be doing well?
