I agree.
In "real life" this watch and it's variants are not really mere watches.
You could not really wear them in normal daily activities unless your daily activity is exclusively the appreciation of haute horlogerie.
I've been lucky to inspect some variants over the years and each time, I am astounded by the intricacies of micro engineering and Art.
It can even appeal to people who have no aspiration to be horologists; standing on its own merits as an object of wonderment.
