Zenith

It certainly was a fun ride

Thanks Nilo,

I think this collection highlights that Zenith is not just all about the El Primero. That said, I do have one modern El Primero, and have another ordered, which should arrive soon. I would love a vintage El Primero, but it is so hard to find one in great condition. I find that the earlier Zeniths from the 1920's and 30's are often in much better condition than the 1970's chronographs. Last week I missed out on an absulutely stunning and fully original gold 1918 Zenith hunter that clearly has been kept very carefully and worn very seldom. I also tried to buy a 1930's gold officer's watch in silver with pink gold lugs. Unfortunately I just missed this one, but did manage to secure a wonderful piece from another house which I will pick up in London next week. I would gladly acquire a 1969 Or early 70's El Primero if you can find me a good example. But you now should get yourself a Zenith pilot, preferably with the lazy but extremely precise 5011k movement.  I know for you the size is an issue, but why not the 40mm?
