... I feel when looking at this year's collection of novelties.
To start with a brief feeling of pain:
It is now four years that President Chavez changed the time zone of his country by half an hour. Apparently, the newspapers read in Le Locle are taken from world's recovered paper bin - other than that I cannot imagine an explanation why Zenith would still use Caracas as reference city for the UTC -4 time zone. All other watch manufacturers have reacted already long ago and chose a different city for that time zone, like La Paz, for example.
But now the much more convenient aspect of joy: Practically all watches shown this year are highly attractive and horologially interesting. the Pilot Doublematic, leaving aside the small glitch with the city name, it is a great and practical complication. I am very curious to hear its alarm sound.
The Espada is a real beauty. Do you by chance know whether the movement features a hack second now? In the original Primero, it was never added, due to constructive restraints, so it would be great to see it realized in the Espada.
My personal highlight, I have to admit, is the ladies' moonphase watch. What a stunning beauty! It has everything a classic design of the future needs: class, uniqueness, boldness but also elegance.

Marcus
