Some answers...
1. ) Captain chrono - as we have written in the watch's description the dial has a logical flaw: "subdials for permanent seconds and chronograph hour counter same design, chronograph minute counter different – did the designer work on Piguet 1185 movements before?"
2.) Doublematic: The large seconds hand is for the chrono (-> El Primero as a base!). If you want to read the time of a different timezone (i.e. you change timezone) you have to set it with the crown.
3.) Pilot Big Date: Full agreement here. Either a larger date (which then could have split windows) or no date. I think the split window is necessary in order to conceal that the two date disks are on different levels (as with most double or big date mechanisms).

On the Captin chrono, it is indeed the minute counter that has the same design as the permanent second, while the hour counter is different. Please note, this is not the Piguet, which has the permanent second at 6. The Captain design makes sense, since cl...

Thank you for the detailed report and excellent photographs! The only discrepancy has already been addressed by Marcus, that is, the El Primero has the hour subdial at "6" while the FP1185 has the seconds subdial (continuous running) at the same position....
