... although they haven't reached their Zenith yet. Sorry, too many bad puns in that sentence.

I am one who appreciated the more somber El Primeros of the past, but I do like what we have seen from Zenith this year and I hope it continues. Their dials are better balanced today, but the size (44mm for this piece) is still in the realm of of a statement watch for me, and not one I would comfortably wear every day. Still, the date around the tourbillon aperture is neat, and draws the eye to that beating heart as well.

I was someone who always worried just that little bit that the escapement beating at 36000vph would damage itself, or wear itself out prematurely. That concern hasn't materialized as fact, and my Prime is very accurate and reliable, but I can only imagine how I would feel about this whirligig at those speeds. I'd have no fingernails left! smile
