You found a very, very rare piece!
First, the Cal. 405, as you correctly state beating at 36.000 bph just like the El Primero, was only produced in two years between 1969 and 1971. Furthermore, many of the movements found their way into there 'Respirator' series of highly water-tight watch featuring a special, two-part case.
I only have images of this specimen (somewhere from the web):
Another most intriguing fact of your watch is that in many way it could be considered a predecessor to the contemporary
El Primero Synopsis collection driven by the
Cal. El Primero 4613:
- The shape of the dial, especially the outer ring beneath the bezel
- The shape of the hands and indices
- The fact that both contain a time-only automatic movement beating at 36.000 bph
More than a coincidence?
Cheers and thanks ever so much for sharing.
Magnus
