I’ve got something similar (in heritage and look) coming at the end of next month. An exciting collab between our local watch club and an awesome watch brand.
Love it. No frills needed, although the I’ve always found the onion crown

on vintage military watches an interesting if functional flourish. Adds to the “cool”.
It’s interesting how the histories of “high end” brands like Breguet (and of course others) are rooted in watches which are made for practical, “pedestrian” (perhaps not the right word as warfare is anything but pedestrian) functions. That to me is an interesting facet of our hobby.
Indeed. JLC, Blancpain, Breguet, Longines, Omega, Lemania, Minerva, Zenith, IWC, Heuer, Breitling, Panerai, Rolex, among the most famous, they all made military watches!
