38mm x 9mm would have been a welcome down-size from 40mm x 10.8mm...

...not that the gold version (a lovely hue) didn't fit my 7.25" wrist well. To me it's a dress watch, and those should be discreet and thin. I could also do without the engraving on the movement. The ref. 5177 is nice at 38mm x 8.8mm with no date. It would be more tempting in the Breguet gold or in yellow gold for me. But I do like the one-handed approach. Good for an old retired guy like me who doesn't have to be anywhere on time except the golf course : )
