I thought I would post you my comments.I have always been an owner of Patek Philippes and I have what I think is a good selection. The only other brand I have admired but never owned was a Breguet. On a visit to London a few weeks ago I went to the Breguet shop on Bond street and spent at least an hour with the very helpful sales assistant. Before I went in I had it in my head it would be a Tourbillon I would choose.I tried at least a dozen various models on my wrist but it was the 5447 I kept coming back to because of its look and overall dimensions.I went back to the shop the next day and went through the same exercise with a reduced number I had selected.Again the 5447 was the one I liked the most.I wanted a physically BIG watch and although the Tourbillon movement is nice to look at I like the mecanics of the minute repeater as without glasses my eyesight is not so good,so if I need to know the time in the dark I just listen to the chimes.I bought a platinum 5447 through a watch dealer I know and I cannot take it off my wrist.Visually it makes the Pateks look small and I am now a Breguet convert. So to answer your question the 5447 is a beautifully made and visually a distinctive and unique watch.
I hope these comments have been useful.
