Just for good measure, here are a couple more Breguet tourbillons:
The Heritage Tourbillon (Ref. 5497) – I have always liked the curved case (carried through to the dial) that hugs the wrist, and the use of the Roman numeral ‘six’ as the tourbillon bridge, not to mention the ‘exploding Romans’ surrounding the dial. Nice depth from the recessed chapter ring as well.
The Messidor Tourbillon (Ref. 5335) is beautifully proportioned at 40 x 9.7mm with the mystery tourbillon showcased in a ring at 6 o’clock. It doesn’t really matter that you can’t read the time easily with a watch dial this beautifully distracting!

about the Heritage Tourbillon. I never gave it much thought before, having been so enamored with La Tradition & The Messidor tourbillons. But what a revelation once on the wrist! It trumps the other two for sheer classicism & pulchritude IMO ......and also comfort.
Thanks for the happy memories! We should do this more often.

Hi Jason,
Thanks for your comment. Very pleased that this post may have opened your eyes a little more towards Breguet.
I must say that I always thought Breguet was a bit of an old fuddy duddy brand with too few design variants and very much stuck in the past. That was until the La Tradition came along. My eyes were opened to the design cues that permeate the brand - the cold-rolled coin case, the rich golds, the Breguet-style hands, the guilloche, etc. I now appreciate many more watches in their collection.
And as is often the case, the things that take a long time to 'grow on you' are the very things that remain firm loves for the long haul.
I now see what all the 'fuss' is about and why Breguet is considered by many to be in the very top tier of Swiss watchmaking.
Regards
Andrew
