Breguet

Hi All: Currently considering this watch. Have never owned a Breguet but do have a VC 1921 Driver's Historiques and PP5070g, as my primary dress watches. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A Tradition, a simple one, I mean, is a superb Watch, a hint ot the fabulous past of this brand.

A GMT is a friendly complication, and one of my favourite complications, to say all.

But a Tradition GMT? To me, it is a blasphemy!

Like if you add a Watch on Mona Lisa's wrist.

I must disagree with my friend Nico.  I love the GMT version of the Tradition.  The spirit of the Tradition Collection derives from the number 960 that Breguet delivered in 1802.  The architecture of the movement follows the layout of that important historical piece.  To be true, neither No. 960 nor any other watch made by Abraham-Louis Breguet had a GMT function.  Nor could any watch during his lifetime as time zones did not exist!  Today's 24 timezones did not come along until 1884, sixty years after Breguet's death.  But so what????  Must the Tradition line spurn such a useful complication because it did not exist in 1802?  My vote says that there should not a a prison, trapping the watches from innovation.  To my mind, the Tradition GMT still has the Tradition spirit and is better because it has the time zone function.  I own the 40 mm Tradition in wg which I bought before the GMT version debuted at Basel.  Had I known of the GMT version, I would have sprung for it in a heart beat.

When I saw it for the first time, the Tradition GMT, I found it very appealing. I like the GMT function in general and especially the way it is shown in this case.

RG or WG, it´s just a matter of taste - as both look good in this case.
