Lange is back
Not on my wrist, but i was absolutely glad for my friend.
I was expecting a Datograph, but he moved further.
It's bulky and heavy, but i still remember the first time i saw the back side.

I was thinking to a micro flipped city (don't ask me why, normal insanity 😏).
The depth of the movement is completely astonishing, you could look at those micro alleys for hours, wandering in search of details.
Last but not least, we had a pleasant dinner, but i took few photos only, because when you are involved in interesting conversations with amazing friends, time passes quickly

This movement and its depth are absolutely incredible. The kind (king?) of caliber you can look at 100 times and discover 100 new things.

There is a nice trick that the DS can perform
Are you or is your friend familiar with that?
The DS can move the rattrap. hands independantly from the chrono hands to store a best lap time.
Astonishingly it can move the rattrap. hands forward and backwards if the new best time is longer or shorter.
You need to press the pusher at ten twice ...

Countdowns are yet another one
Say I want to make a soup out of dry ingredients from a package. The instructions on the package tell me to add the ingredients to boiling water then cook for exactly 12 minutes. The most comfortable way to do that is to preset the chrono by letting it run 12 minutes then stopping it to store the time. Now press the pusher at 10 to switch to rattrap mode. Press the pusher at 4 to reset the gold minutes hand to zero. The DS is now primed. You can work and wait until you get hungry. Water is boiling? Add the powder and push the starter at 2 Under the poor lighting in my kitchen I can easily tell when the gold minute hand overlaps the dark minute hand without having to think again about numbers. Done!

one more thing to notice: ask Lange if the TS cn do the same tricks as the DS ...

The first time I saw a Double Split under the loupe...
It was an emotionl experience. I couldn't believe the depth and beauty of this piece. Exploring it is akin to a slow leisurley scuba dive through a colrful coral reef.
