If the endlinks on the Lange bracelet were higher, to match the height and contours of the lugs, the Odysseus would look better.

It's hard to visualize unless there are illustrations. Lange mentioned they did 3 earlier prototypes but I'm sure with today's CAD skills, they must have drawn many variations to arrive to this conclusion. [nt]

+1 ...still can't wrap my head around a design choice that results in ill-fitting end-links.
They don't match the geometries of the case or the lugs. This is not a styling issue as much as it's a simple execution issue.
I'm scratching my head...
...with this new ALS offering. Didn't post earlier since the design is still marinating somewhere in my brain. 
I like the concept, the pushers, the day/date, water resistance, all in steel. The design itself...I'm not sure yet. I think it will grow on me. That said, out of the trinity offerings (and now ALS), I still prefer the VC Overseas.
I don't care for the bracelet. But at least it's not integrated so it can be changed to a strap. I do find the use of trompe l'oeil (making it appear like it's an integrated bracelet when it's not, maybe to spar equally with the 70s vibe from the other trinity offerings?) a bit off-putting.
Regarding the controversial aspects...it wasn't very long ago that folks on these boards were comparing the newly-released white dialed PP Nautilus to a white garage door with the opening horizontal slats (folks considered it sacrilege to the blue dial). Now it's hot, hot, hot. Time often changes minds.
All in all, I guess the jury is still out for me. Looking forward to trying it on.

If your eyes need to adjust to it, and then your brain needs to make comparisons with other watches, then it doesn’t really speak to the heart... at least that’s how I approach this thing called a passion.

I think that in this situatiothe case of the Lange can’t be compared with the Oak or Nautilus, since they use cases that are specifically designed to meet the bracelets, but Lange is using a regular case and lug construction so they should’ve

simple fix?
if the links can be easily removed, could we not purchase 2 of the third links (the narrower ones) and replace the first two tapered (wider) links and achieve the same effect as in the photoshopped pic? if that's possible it would be a simple solution and i for one, would do it!
Lugs
Lange uses a more “traditionally-designed” lugs for this sports model. The bracelet should have a disconnect, much like Rolex’s. The Nautilus and the RO do not use the same design language/ layout when it comes to their lugs, therefore they can take on a more fluid integrated look without the disconnect. I hope I’m making some sense here. Of the more recent new releases (when it comes to sports models with bracelets), I think only the Zenith (DEFY in titanium) managed to pull it off with its integrated bracelet.
They must be thinking of future with the design, although I agree with CR’s above comments...
Now I understand if the end links are thicker and have same height with the lugs, it will look more integrated to the eyes,

Nice comparison. For nautilus and RO, the center of dial is wider than ALS. Their dial is not a perfect circle like ALS but carefully stretched out. That’s why, I think the bracelet does not look proportional to the dial. I understand it is personal.
