and I think I know why: you posted this in the Lange forum, where people look at you funny if you contemplate trading in an iconic Lange model for anything other than another iconic Lange model.
And what does the perpetual calendar offer that the Lange 1 doesn't, exactly? Let's see:
The month -- so how often do you forget that?
Day of the week -- same question.
The perpetual calendar remembers which years are leap years -- a fine technological accomplishment, but who cares.
Finally, the moonphase. Do you live by a lunar calendar or a solar one?
So all that surplusage and not the one thing everybody wants: the ab-auf PR indicator. OK, maybe you wouldn't miss that so much. But you might miss the oversized date and the gloriously arranged asymmetric dial, which looks like no other watch.
So keep your Lange 1, and buy the PP too, even if it means college loans for your children.
