On my Wrist Today !!!
I thought you might like to see the A. Lange and Sohne Grande Lange 1 I purchased July 28, 2005 while on vacation in Italy. It is Model Number: 115.025 and Movement Number: 45304. It is a platinum case with a silver dial secured and worn on a crocodile black strap with platinum buckle.
There is a little story with this watch! While on vacation in Berlin in 2004, I saw this identical watch in a Wempe store and fell in love with it! I went back to that particular store twice more but I could not force myself to buy it for I thought my wife would object too much at the price point. I returned to the U.S. dreaming of that watch. The very next year on vacation, I was walking by a store window in Italy and it was in the window. I stopped, walked in, and because of a time constraint had bought it and was out of the store in less than 30 minutes--hardlly long enough for the AD to wrap it up, fill out the warranty, and say thank you. I have never regretted it!
I hope you enjoy it. Do not concern yourself with the crown scratch for I love this watch and wear it!
P.S. If you can give me some pointers on photography in a light box, where these were made, I would appreciate it!
