One of the most exciting Lange watch, in my opinion.

The enamel dial has an unbelievable charm, which can't be depicted with a picture.

It has to be seen in the flesh to fully appreciate its silky and charmful depth and nuance.

When you can compare every Lange watch with another one, this one is a league apart, in my point of view.

The Three Quarter rotor is as important for a Lange watch than a manual wind movement.

It is another signature from the German House.

Would you say that the PP Cal 240 is a pity just because it is automatic?

... as I happen to have also one piece of Lange that has been casted from all the other Langes in the past and the result is: Honey Gold !

I did not come across your's, but I can imagine that pictures can not convey the craftmanship, the timeless elegance of that enamel dial.

The red twelve on a white dial with blued hands must be really a feast for the eyes.

A very, very nice Lange indeed in your collection !

I am unable to say - but maybe not.

So much rests upon the counterpoint of the enamal with the red XII. I at least try to think democratically that all hours should receive the same fair treatment, except for those midnight changes on watches with more than three hands - and functions such as dates.

However, I am equally (?) authoritarian, dictatorial - even tyrannical - about my other preferences which include precision and exactness as well as a beautiful dial layout, and that begins, personally for me, with the Movement.

It is certainly a league apart from all the others. But so are some of the others a league apart as well! Having travelled 20,000 leagues under the sea with Captain Nemo himself (Vianney), I have gradually acquired an understanding for what is a league ;-) That is not a measure of depth but the distance travelled.

How does that fit in? Not very well, I suppose, but yours is still an extremely beautiful, well-made watch!

Yes we all have our criterias, at the moment of the final decision, and yes, it is indeed very subjective.

This watch was until the Richard Lange Pour le Mérite has been released the sole Lange watch with an enamel dial. A gorgeous watch, I understand why you're so happy to own it.

The Langematik Anniversary is not alone, anymore.



Both the RL PLM and the Anniversary have their own interest, more technical, for sure, on the RL PLM, more historical on the Anniversary.

And both get this captivating enamel dial.
