The rose gold case black dial combination is breathtaking, and I am not a big fan of colored gold cases, in general, but here, it enhances the vintage look of this modern Chronograph issued in 2016.

For example, and for the comparison, another nice Montblanc Villeret 1858 Vintage Pulsograph, Only Watch 2011, with its superb white enamel dial, is less my taste. It would have come with a black enamel dial, I would have been more attracted...
Still a strong love affair with my 1858 Tachymeter in steel but the rose gold offers a different personality to this watch...

normally i look to white metal to keep the watches below the radar...
it is exactly what i felt when i saw the Rexhep Rexhepi Chronomètre Contemporain in Rosegold + Black enamel too.

Personally I have struggled to get excited about Montblanc as a brand. The quality of the movement is beyond doubt.
Me too, same here. But I am skeptical when I see people buying watches just because of the name on the dial, I should also be skeptical when people don't buy a watch for the same reason! [nt]
