Wristscan 2nd September: Watches that look warm or cool? Your preference? Starts now!
Some watches just have a warm feeling to them. Usually, one thinks of warm watches as being of coloured metal. Rose gold, in particular, has a certain warmth to it. On the other hand, steel is typically seen as a colder material with a similarly colder image.
Patek 2552....the original Disco Volante. Warm metal and a dial that adds to that warmth. Cool....but in a different way!
Rolex 6239 PN...... cool in a Paul Newman cool type of way!
Patek 5110G......not what I would call a warm watch.....almost has an icy-ness to it.
So, this week's Wristscan is about your preference for warm or cool watches.....in whatever way you want to define it.

it is funny....
.....i see the Polaris as a warm watch too....but it should be more cool than warm.
The small dots and the warm black gilt dial gives it some warmth, but I wouldn't deny it is a cool watch, too. [nt]
