Here a couple of sturdy and cheap watches I could capture instead of several more boring ones from more celebrated brands (they'll come anyway).
The first one is a Vostok Komandirskie, kind of a dive watch for Soviet tank drivers.
Second one is a
Poljot Sturmanskie Chronograph.
Very relaxing!

... many times before! No need to spend big money to get an interesting watch we truly enjoy and makes us smile when we view it on our wrists!!
I can find charm and enjoyment in many watches in my collection which cost me very little.
I share one here which I love being a present from a good friend and watch lover in Spain.

... Those Russian watches are my mother's partner’s. He bought them many years ago in Moscow for about five and 10 Euros each!
I agree with you, any watch may work as a link with something or somebody special, no matter its monetary value!
