The WS for the 11th of November - ‘Dress to impress’ - is live
First of all apologies for the delay - something came up unfortunately. Irrespective, the WS for this weekend - ‘Dress to impress’ - is now live.
So watches that you would wear for special occasions, whatever these are for you are what I am looking forward to seeing this weekend.
Now special occasions are different for all of us and so are watches we would use for them. So let’s see what you use for the finer moments in life!
The WS will be open till Sunday night and a separate thread with the judges and verdicts will be posted on due course.

Tough my personal preferences in watches are sport/tool types and usually dress sport/casual clothes I own a few timepieces which I don’t think will impress but surely will work with a formal attire.

I know, I know - very much too late but ( was away for almost 2 wks).. Just couldn’t resist & thus wanted to drop you a line about these of your last week‘s choices..
- Really liked your „sequence of pleasure“, whereby your Patek Calendrier,
the 2 Cartiers and the good ol‘ Rolex Day Date WG are my personal favs.
And not to forget the FP Journe - what a classic to dress, especially with the
black leather strap.
In fact, the round Cartier is really cool, unobtrusive but indeed quite special !

Hi KM - that VC Prestige 1972 is truly special. I’m curious- how is the strap cut and how do the spring bars fit?
Ah, complicated…
The strap appears to be attached with two screws on each side into the bottom of the case - making it one of the rare watches where I never change straps 😊🤷🏻♂️
