WristScan

Let’s get started ! …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : January 6th, 2023-14:19
Hello dear friends !

After last year, it’s good to start the year with fresh hope, enthusiasm for life and a little horological pleasure for us all 😉

I started the week with a watch that always gives pleasure in a subtle and discrete sense, but with classy vibe…

The Omega Seamaster Diver 300, Bond 60th Anniversary.
I really enjoyed this one …

Another Omega, but a firm favourite within our community and for good reason…

Thats a start, with a few more shots to come this weekend.
Best regards and thank you for joining us.
Captain

A super selection for the start of 2023!

Good afternoon Captain

Many thanks for hosting this first WristScan of 2023. I started the New Year with a bang - the DB25 Starry Varius GMT

I then switched to the JLC Duometre Chronographe for return to the office.

Followed by the Moser Streamliner Perpetual

And today the JLC Reverso Grande GMT

I’ll update over the course of the weekend for any others.

Starting the year in considerable style !

Wow, I absolutely love the design details in your beautiful DB25 Starry Varius GMT.
I can remember that days when DB started out making exceptional watches and have admired their work ever since.

Many thanks Captain

The DB25 range really captured my attention and the GMT version of the Starry Varius ticked all the boxes for me. The color of the blued titanium is unique - unlike anything else I’ve ever seen. The attention to detail is exceptional - I particularly like the way the orb switches from gold to blue at 6:00pm and back again at 6:00am.

Wow !.. That is a big Bang for a great Start with your DB25 line and GMT version.. All that Blue is simply breathtaking !..

Well done & Chapeau !
Best, hs. smile smile

Many thanks HS

I’m really enjoying watching DB as they evolve, and also start producing some smaller watches in the DB25 line - the new 40mm Perpetual in particular. It’s good to see the independent sector of the market so vibrant these days!

Hello Timeout!! What a wonderful start of year 2023 !!

The DB is awesome! Your stunning shots leave me speechless! Wow!
Same with that wonderful JLC Duometre. Wow again!!
Not to mention your Moser and Reverso to complete your awesome choices.
Great shots to share them with us.
Have a great New Year 2023! Best! Abel

Many thanks Abel!

I’ve recently traded up to an iPhone 13 Pro Max and enjoying the built in camera. For an old timer like me who remembers “developer and fixer” the technology in todays smartphones is staggering and the results amazing. Having said that, it always helps to have a beautiful subject and the DB 25 is a dream to photograph with so much detail and texture on the dial side!

My big pleasure Timeout! I can well understand you as I´m also an old timer with experience in developing and fixing which was a hobby in my young years in the 1960's through...

... 1990´s. Then I switched with great pain to digital cameras in the earlies 2000´s and later to the I Phone camera which has became my favorite tool to shoot watches in the last say three or four years. Of course has some limitations compared to a camera but it is so handy and the results surprising.
Agree with you that shooting a DB25 like yours is a dream and such a beautiful and photogenic timepiece. You did a great job with this and your other watches as well.
Keep enjoying your superb watches and shooting them so much! Hagwe! Abel

A fantastic, eclectic selection, dear Timeout!

I especially like your DB25 and the fantastic pics you made of it.

Your JLC Grande GMT 8 days awakens nostalgic feelings in me.
I owned this gem. And was stupid enough to sell it to fund another watch.

Cheers
Thomas

Good afternoon Captain.

Repetition is unavoidable with a modest collection but I find myself reaching for and enjoying the Bronzo more and more. It’s also far more photogenic than the owner. 😉
Have a cracking weekend.
Cheers 🍻 Kurt

The warmth of bronze …

Hello and Happy New Year Kurt. I completely understand your love for this Tudor. I have a blue dial version and always enjoy it. Will you keep it on for the weekend  ?

Yes, taken late afternoon when sun was low in the sky.
All the best, Kurt.

Thank you so much Kurt for your kind greetings! Same to you! Ah yes, I imagined that it was a late afternoon shot giving that "golden" hue to this nice shot.

Keep enjoying your Tudor so much! Hagwe! Abel

That shinny blue strap on this omega is really cool! You made me pull the trigger to get a strap with this finish:
