Nautilus Chronograph …
I hoped and dreamt about this watch from the first time I laid eyes on one and one day I got “The call”.
Happy memories !

A watch that truly fits you and the automotive hobby as well - goes with probably all cars 😁🏁
It was a satisfying moment …
It’s also quite fun when encountering a car salesman brandishing the obligatory Rolex. ( nothing against Rolex but you know what I mean)
A particularly memorable occasion …
Was the time I was negotiating over a new car with the salesman, a nice guy with a Rolex steel DJ. Eventually he called in backup in the form of his dealership manager, a portly man with a full gold Day-Date, 40mm, diamond dot dial, literally swinging from his wrist. I offered to adjust it for him if he included the floor mats in the deal 😉

You really should read ‘Arrogance and Accords’ - the story about rampant corruption at Honda of America. Apparently Honda dealers we’re amongst the top Rolex customers, as they needed to bribe the HoA execs with them practically every visit 😉

I remember a lady friend of my family visited us some time ago (she lives in USA) and viewed a bag of that same coffee on our kitchen counter and she exclamated: "The Rolls Royce of coffee!!" Lol!

Your Nautilus Chronograph is truly a dream and I can imagine how fast your heart was beating that day when you received “the Call” and when you visited the shop to take delivery of this magnificent watch.
Answering your theme I will share two of my “dreams come true” watches:
My 5510 World time was a love at first sight when I viewed in the metal the platinum version of our friend Nicolas for first time. It had been haunting my soul for many years till I finally could make mine a white gold version which I could get pre owned in an almost NOS full set from a local collector.
As you remember in year 2019 I was so excited when I could get my Moonshine Speedmaster Commemorative edition.
This wonderful watch I love so much was truly a dream for me as I was a fan of the original 1969 gold Speedy presented to the Astronauts which I considered an “imposible dream”.
Now you know that the collectors journey is full of surprises: In September 2021 I was chatting watches with a friend (another watch aficionado) during a family party when he told me he had a watch he was willing to sell and showed me some pictures in his sell phone. I felt I was dreaming when I viewed them: a full gold 145.022-69 Speedmaster!!
It took a few days to visit him, view the watch in the metal and close the deal. Impossible dreams can be possible sometimes!!

The Patek 5510 is a watch that I have also dreamt about but never quite made a reality. This has been mainly due to not quite finding the example that fits my personal criteria. I must correct this.

I love WT watches and feel PP makes the King of them all.
The first references are so lovely and charming as high their prices.
Later references offer different variants to choose from.
A very interesting and magical complication they offer.
The original version of the gold astronauts watch was something I never thought would be possible to own. A true dream.
