Hi Emilio,
Across various products, from cars to watches, there is often a certain purity and simplicity in what might be described as ‘base models’ that I really like. In its day this would have been a ‘no frills’ three-hand steel Constellation, but it is exactly that which I find so appealing.
Thanks for your kind comments.
Andrew

…and will open it for lunch on Sunday and toast our Connie’s.
Have a great weekend and happy (Chinese) New Year to you.
Andrew

There are lots of Omega Constellation lovers here... Nice!.
Best Art.
Emilio.
Just poured; thought I would post this as ‘real time’ as possible.
A very pleasant day in Melbourne, cool morning and going up to 30oC (85oF). Out early to the fresh produce market this morning and now settling down to a BBQ lunch and a beer.
Have a great weekend.
Andrew

Thanks Art,
I noted you were not on line as often as you usually are, but I am happy to see you were enjoying yourself with (Purist) friends. Looks like you shared some very tasty food as well.
I am back to wearing the JLC Grand Date this week, but interestingly I find myself reaching for the Omega’s for the more intimate occasions like meals with friends and family. In this case, the colour of the case matched the outfit, but it’s not something (or even a color) I can normally wear at work.
Have a good week.
Andrew
i've had a changeable week. i wore this on monday & tuesday as it hasnt been out to play for a little while.

then as Art liked it so much i put the stingray back on my Railmaster and wore that wenesday

this new aquisition arrived yesterday. 1970 vintage NOS, i think its the first double retrograde watch ever made and its been on hold for me since november while i scrabbled to get the pennies together. its in far better condition than the pics make it look and has its original inner and outer boxes. a superb addition to my collection. i'll be wearing this all weekend and probably into next week to give it a good test drive in all conditions.

enjoy and HAGWE. to all you Australians, have a great Australia day on monday(as if an Ozzie needs an excuse to lay on the beach with some tinnies).
Graham

I really look forward to more information on this Wittnauer, Graham. Very interesting watch. Hours and minutes (and date) actually seem very easy to read, and I am surprised this design has not been more popular.
Thanks for the Australia Day wishes; I will certainly crack a tinny for you.
Kind regards as always.
Andrew
This watch is always in my mind, I hope that one day I´d hunt it.

Emilio
