The titanium version is really cool, and not that expensive, IMO.

And I do agree with you that the officila pic of the platinum Amvox II is far from being great.
When I saw the first protos of the Amvox II, the only one I didn't have a definitive idea was the platinum veriso.
I knew that there will be a difference about the dial, but I decided to go on it, without seeing it in real ( which is an exceptiona thing I do ).
I wasn't deceived when my watch arrived to my Dealer Shop.

the Amvox II is a chrono i really want.
perhaps one day i'll get one. its crystal chrono operation is unusual enough to fit into my collecting criteria. dont care which one, the black Ti model looks good, but i prefer the dial of the standard model.
not a decision i'm in a position to make.

I have not opened the case to see the inside yet......
But the watch is about 15 years old.
I love the design because it is very classic and very "quiet".
35mm perfect for my small wrist.
I have not seen this model around and there is not much info I can offer you.
