A newly landed 1950 seamaster chronometre. It suits my wrist very well, I find.

. . . about these vintage Omegas . . .

Impressions thus far - it feels big - like a 37 or 38 rather a 34 mm width, it makes a pleasing thud when I move and it has a strongly defined appearance - probably the effect of the wide lugs. It is holding time well too, not always to be taken for granted with any 62 year old, particularly one with an unknown service history. I'm very pleased with it, more so than I anticipated. The only drawback is that I'm already looking at others like it, a dangerous habit.

This is not my first Planet Ocean. I had another that was "removed" from me.

Time passes and here we are ...me and a PO again.

Simple, pedestrian to some, but a great watch.

I love the overall design and the movement (Co-Axial escapement).

Today I'm wearing this PO on a Shell Cordovan dark brown strap. Amazing.

Over the Atlantic? Napoleon 's rules were not at all what you portray, I actually start to believe you wish Napoleon was Anglo!

. . . more difficult to prove innocence than to disprove guilt. Since our Nicolas is a defense attorney, he has a higher bar to overcome than his American counterparts, no?

Also I concur totally with the presumption of innocence (as did Napoleon!) I am not so sure about the Lex Talionis though!

G. I happen to like history due to my late Dad and that was something I remembered my Dad telling me many moons ago. I should have said an obscure English Palindrome instead of famous.
