2012 was not a bad year, indeed. Much better than 2011, which was, well... To forget.

And so many here, got some so fantastic pieces that it would not be good to unveil my last catches.

I could not resist. It was too much for my will.

Zenith New Vintage 69, black titanium, limited to 250 pieces.

It makes a great pair with my SS New Vintage 69.

Yes, the dial is some sort of see thru.

Black in B&W.

Now the painful part: I need to choose another one for the scaffold.
I'm on my number limit. A new one arrives, another must go.

. . . when contemplating between the Striking 1/10th and the steel New Vintage 1969 that I eventually acquired, Nilo.  My sense is that, counter-intuitive as it may seem, the matte black titanium model is more legible than the more visually striking steel version. 

Am I right?

I don't agree.

The dial x hands on the black titanium offers less contrast than the SS version.

But the transparent dial allows us to peek into parts of the El Primero and this is (don't let Zenith hear me) priceless.

I will do a full review in 2013 but the mat strap is way too somber and I'm considering a strap alternative.

I didn't know this version existed and especially this see-through dial.

The strap you want to be changed seems very nice though, very stealthy looking but I understand your point of course.

I'll be glad to read about it in 2013!

When this series was released by Zenith in 2009, there was 3 versions (Gold, Titanium and Steel).

I'm not a gold person, based on that I'm done, with this series.
