... one of my absolute favorite is this - GP Observatory Chronometer HF with cal. 32A.

Why? Okay, the story behind this particular model and piece are:
1. There are only TWO brands who sold the watches to the general public with the movements in them which actually passed observatory chronometer test - SEIKO and GP.
2. And from GP, this 32A movement is it.
3. Found one on xBay for just a couple of hundreds dollars some years ago.
4. Sent to GP factory - they found out that the dial has been replaced (it just said "Chronometer HF").
5. GP did everything they could to restore the movement and dial (re-printed by its old actual "stamp" in the storage)
6. Came back like new and it still is working very accurately (after several months and cost multiple of what I paid originally 
).
). Why can't I love it?

There's another wild coincidence that might not have . . .
. . . occurred to you, Damjan. Worshipful Anderson began his year of service as Grand Master of California during the first or second week of October 1957, the same time frame of my birth in Los Angeles.
It's very difficult to escape the notion that I share a personal connection with his watch.

The funny thing is, I had the watch for a full year . . .
. . . before uncovering the identity of its original owner. Had I not had the benefit of the internet, the incredible coincidence would never have come to light.

I would like to start with saying that...
It is impossible to choose only ONE favorite.
The story? Well, this was my first real vintage Grail...
Or even only one theme.......
But one watch I am 100% certain will be one of my very last watches to go....

The first (and likely last!) vintage grail in my collection . . .
. . . just came back from the watchmaker last week, blomman. Presently waiting for a good opportunity to take some fresh snaps of the '46 Ω Chronomètre in conducive outdoor light.
Can't wait to see....

Fairly easy choice for me.
As most of you know the LLD spends +75% of it's time at my wrist ... be it for (few) formal stuff, driving around and leisure, visiting clients and even as a tool watch working in with metal pieces one or two days a week.
