I fear this will be another heartbreaking WristScan!
Here is my very first vintage watch: Omega 2494 from the early 1950's.
I got it in a secondhand store many years ago because I wanted to have a Omega Seamaster, same as my father had when I was a boy. My father didn't have this exact reference, but at that point I was more focused on the model name than the model number...

In 1963 this watch were manufactured...
In Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
Sometime between 1963 and 1969 the watch traveled 1338 kilometers north to Karlstad, Sweden. Delivered to AD Norrstrands Ur.
On the 24th of May 1969 the watch were sold and started its journey towards the capital of Sweden.
In 2008 this watch ended the 259 kilometers long journey to the capital and ended up on my wrist in Stockholm
The journey from Schaffhausen to my wrist went on an average speed of 35.49 kilometers per year.
Since then this watch has accompanied me to the US, GB, FR, CH, DE, DK, NO, IT, ES.....

All the oldtimers you show are beauties my dear Blomman...
... but the 1963 Ingenieur is a killer! I specially love this one! It got such a character! A charming watch, one of my favorites!

One of my absolute favs of IWC..
- Classic purity !..
Still a tool, but with an effortless harmony
& solemn appeal, somehow...
Unfortunately I missed one nice one ( + B+P !),
some 18 months ago, as I had another nice,
but costly project;
Still remember its great, solid feel on the wrist..
But not thinking how pretty rare they are meanwhile..
Stupid me !
Well.. We'll see what the future brings !

I'm not a vintage person because ...
My wife "confiscates" all that I get:
1) She started with one that just looks vintage. An Omega Museum:
2) Then she took on her hands a 1946 (only based on the serial number of the movement) Zenith that my watchmaker rebuild
3) Next, a very nice funky memovox. It was my dream and now I only can dream to wear it.
4) On her wrist.
5) A B&W pic of this beauty.

... though some times it is an "arma de doble filo" as we say here! Lol!

Great Trio, Nilo !.. As to the Funky Memo E861, the only of the Funkies with the bumper mvmt 825, all others are Cal 916, with a rotor..
As to your " giving up in total surrender" to your better half, maybe interesting
to just remember that this E861 was introduced as a pure watch for men,
with lots of versatility..
