Out of my collection, I wanted to highlight this particular crown found on my Ebel E-type Chronograph.
Ebel is still a underappreciated brand. Sadly it tried to move upscale a few years back without much success. But I love this particular model.
This watch is now 15 years old but look at the very organic ribbed design of the crown. I am sure it would have been much easier/ and more cost effective to machine a "normal" crown. This design makes it easy and comfortable to wind manually (although the movement is the well regarded automatic Lemania 1351). Also note the Double E logo (which Ebel also incorporated into the bracelet) is not "etched" in but substantive.
So for me this crown is a win-win...win in function, a win in design.

Slow Saturday, mostly at home . . .
. . . with a brief journey to the local Irish bar for a pint and a few rounds of pool, then a very busy Sunday with road trips far and wide, culminating in the usual 8-ball tournament at the seaside dive bar and a very late supper on the Sunset Strip.
