Automotive designs that awe
Howdy fellow motorheads of the automotive shire,
Sometimes, a design element of a car, or a striking feature, dominates the entire conversation. Some becomes iconic for that car, some becomes the design philosophy for a series, even the entire brand.
For me.... This one picture speaks volume and I am still awestruck by it after all these years. Below is a picture I took with my mobilephone of a friends car, and absolutely no prizes for guessing which ride.

My ride of choice....
....in dream land would be the road going version of the Aston Vulcan!! As a daily driver the Mercedes E63 S Amg would fit the bill. John.

its actually a 'FF' model
standing for Ferguson Formula and really a stretched Interceptor (can tell by 2 side grills rather than 1) to accommodate all wheel drive and anti-lock brakes. This particular version is a Mk2 totally updated to Mk4 engine spec by Jensen with a 5.8L injection engine. Had the pleasure of driving this very car from UK to Spain in late 80's - thankfully the owner covered the petrol bills! Cheers. Giles

Ahh! Ok! This car has been haunting me...
... since I was. Teenager in the mid 1960's !
I feel it is the most pure and greatest car design ever!
May be the car equivalent to the Spitfire in the aviation world, if you know what I mean. The purest of pure!
Sometimes I feel it's too late to find one for me. To low for my old body to get into! Lol!

I'm with you about its design. Impossible to find something similar today for me. A pure vintage candy car. Probably what we call a dream (sometimes dreams must stay dreams my friend)
