Having said that; Bottas drove a fantastic race! He crushed Hamilton. Hoping that he will keep this form through the season.

Gasly drove a disappointing race and if I was RedBull I would keep a close eye on his performance because that car is a top 6 car. And i wonder what Kvyat could have accomplished in it.
Leaves us Kubica. I have said it before and I will say it again: huge respect for the man and his perseverance, but (with all due respect) a handicapped person will not be able to operate a Formula 1 car at the limit. That seat should go to young talent.

But beating Hamilton isn’t easy. Rosberg was lucky too that Hamilton had an engine failure.
Hamilton strategy miscalculation
Looks to me like Mercedes overestimate Ferrari’s pace and compromised Hamilton’s strategy to cover Vettel. In retrospect, it would have been better to keep Hamilton out to maximize both stunts rather than leaving him in tire management mode for most of the race. But that’s what happens in the first race when no one truly knows what to expect yet. Fingers crossed that Williams will come back stronger.

And seek for Mercs help asap. Better to become their B-team instead of dying off slowly and painfully.
Hamilton had floor damage!
I read the above issue is why he couldn't catch up to Botas or match his performance in the race, but it does look like this season should give us closer racing then previous seasons. Max looked really strong in the Red Bull as it seems so far Honda have delivered on their promises McLaren must be gutted about now that they switched. I never got why Ricciardo switched and think he may have done an Alonso and shot himself in the foot, anyway looking forward to the next race and the whole season.

McLaren should have been patience with Honda.
Ricciardo left because of Verstappen. Question now is: will he be able to beat Hulkenberg.
Good for Bottas!
He’s now had more fun after one race in 2019 then he had combined in his 21 races in 2018.
