What a kick it must be to drive!
The 1.6 liter engine reminded me of my first car -- a Fiat 124 sport coupe. Not a racer, by any means, but so fun to rev and drive. Sorry for posting but this picture again, but I'm always looking for excuses ;-)
The 130 was another great one. My Godfather had the killing one, the Fiat Dino 2400. THAT one is still a dream for me.
Well the question is, what do you consider as the Alfa contender?
This Lancia is not bad, would never buy one though…

Classic and different
Lancia’s innovative narrow angle (11 degrees), TOHC, canted V4 (45 degrees) in the HF really made the car different from its contemporary rivals. I would have one in a heartbeat.
