So sad we don't get the Alpine here in the US 😟 Agree though, the Porsches aren't as joyful or playful as other brands

I think about this a lot. My previous car was a BMW Z4m coupe, nearly a foot shorter in length than the Cayman it was smaller, wild, a much more overtly fun car. Less capable, less refined, cheaply built by comparison, but more fun just going for a cup of coffee and full of character.
I prefer walking on the fine line of having it all :) But it is a fine line ;) I will go back to cars at some point, a Lotus Seven or a Caterham for me. Good luck in your hunt! Best, E.
Yes, part of the crazy small car manufacturer landscape in the UK (look at Ariel, Noble, Ginetta, Marcos, Morgan, etc. too). Some are still alive, some died, but the passion is still very very strong! Best, E.
I had the privilege of trying out the M600 back in 2015 at Leicester. What a beast, 650 hp for 1250 kilos, fastest car I've ever driven. see my thread: www.watchprosite.com
i remember, when this beast came out they offered it two ways...

one way being fully built. The other way being as a set for you to build it. i am not sure if this is still the case or of Ultima still exists. Is is actually correct that they use CORVETTE V8 engine?
Which model have you got dear Captain? R300? R500? I searched on the forum and could not find the answer. Once one has tried a Caterham, nothing else can match it! Best, E.
Since the late 90s and the Rover K-series, all the "standard" engines provided plenty enough power. They can be modified/upgraded easily and are rather reliable. All this for a rather limited weight. Going for motorbike engines is for real racers only and limited to fun track days. And you need to be a good mechanic or know a good garage who can combine both car and motorbike worlds. Best, E.
A reasonable amount of weight well distributed is a positive thing when it comes to getting a Caterham off the line from a standing start. I’ve completed in Hill Climb and it’s definitely an advantage off the line.
Totally agree, it is not only an engine and 4 wheels, there is a lot of settings to do to get things right. Light is right, but balance is key ;) Best, E.
