Yes, it can take 380 Nm. And believe me, it is enough. Mine has been updated to 302 HP / 375 Nm, it is a pure rocket. 0/100 in 3, 9 seconds. 0/200 in less than 12 secs. 1000 m in 21 seconds.
Let's not forget that the Alpine is a light car ( 1100 Kilos ) and that you can lighten it easily around 1070 Kilos. Even, with a bit of work, 1050 Kilos. THAT is more important than the HPs...
Mechanics have told me lotuses are just evil cars that are impossible to work on. Tight areas one cannot get their hands into. Substantial percentage of the car needs to be disassembled to do basic things because the car wasnβt well designed to begin with.
Unless you're telling me that Geely is developing everything from a tried and trued Geely platform that is made in large quantities, I'd be worried. But the only way to tell is to speak with someone who is trained to work on current Lotus vehicles.
The sports cars are still on Lotus based platformsβ¦

Which doesnβt have to be a bad thing - Lotus has developed these for much larger manufacturers as well, and quite successfully. But of course a current mechanic will know best ππ»
