A friend of mine had one and used to go to Paris every weekend to meet his girlfriend. He often remembers these good times. Don't tell his wife.
It is a gorgeous car that I just about remember, at the time it was a poor man's Ferrari Dino.
Opel cars were never massive in the UK but I really can't remember the last time I saw one or read anything about them. Are they still a going concern?

For some time Opel was sold in parallel to Vauxhall but by and large the two have been respective rebadges of each other.
They are still a going concern, albeit much smaller than previously and are a part of the Stellantis Group. Market share in Europe is hovering at around 3%, which is too little, actually.

Was quite a fun one, like a grown up MX-5. In Europe it came with Th a 260bhp 2.0 Turbo but I believe one of the US versions (was it Saturn?) also came with the LT-1 small block V8 👍🏻👌🏻
The original had a sensual design but the 1.9l 90bhp engine didn’t quite make it fly 😉

I think 🤔a Vauxhall VX Lightning was a prototype and may not have gone into production? This was two decades ago.
