Lately riding on the road feels almost as dangerous, in particular over here my generation appears to be squeezed between a geriatic generation driving in the wrong lane/confusing throttle/brake pedals and a new generation who have their license but zero practice other than renting cars once a month, both conditions resulting is accidents ranging from medium to severe casualties in city centers and on mountain roads. Hope they all come home safe!
On top of it our roads are getting worse by the day, potholes, unlogical placing of signs and traffic lights. In Belgium we still have the 'priority on the right' .. now imagine a fluent road that stretches over 5 to 10 kilometers with around 10 to 30 streets coming onto that road from the right side, some of these are clearly visible and others are hidden, some have priority and others don't ... (for some strange reason) .. I wouldn't wanna be a tourist driving around here.
Totally, exactly the same circumstances like Southern California - way too many motorists, too slow to repair and repave roads, and the right-turn privilege as well....
