After two long months parked at the garage, finally yesterday I went for a ride. It was a 160 kms ride, not a long one, but nice enough. Looks like the fuel system issues are gone. A forty years old fuel tank was the main problem, my cousin told me there was like 10 cms of mud in the tank (lots of rust included).  The guy who has fixed the Kugelfischer has done a great job too, thanks.  This message has been edited by VMM on 2013-02-11 15:11:17

You never want to run an older car with a old gas tank on empty for all those reasons ;-)

Hi Filip, it's a very nice car, it handles very well, much better than I thought. It needs some upgrades and replacements, like urethane bushings, thicker sway bars and lower springs. The steering has that feeling from almost all the BMWs, direct and precise. 130 hp for 1000kg, those are not bad numbers, and once you step on the gas it's very easy to go sideways with the LSD. (the differential, not the drug)

Several years ago i got to testdrive a Z3 2.8 .... i drifted that car on dry tarmac while scratching my nose ! What a joy that car was .... a couple of months later i tried to drift a friends E36 325 i coupe but couldnt get it sideways.
